The thought of changing our diets can be very daunting, even the things that we know are not good for us we still find it really hard to give it up. Some people may change their diets slowly, changing and taking away a few items at a time while others go “cold turkey”, there is no right or wrong.
Milk is definitely something which people find hard to give up even with so many alternatives out there. For some people I believe that it is just adjusting your palate to new tastes. There are SO many milk alternatives to choose from, especially in todays world with veganism being so main stream and products in more and more high demand.
Whether you give up dairy for health reasons, animal rights or environmental the fact remains that we as humans don’t need cows milk.
So let’s get started with some Milk Alternatives: Also be careful when purchasing because some of these do come sweetened and flavoured, try and go for ORIGINAL , UNSWEETENED.
In my fridge here is what you will find everyday,
Earths Own Unsweetened Almond Milk
This we use in tea, cereals, in mashed potatoes Oatmeal etc… Plus it is fortified with b12 .
Silk Soy Coffee Cream
This is my must have for my coffee, It is absolutely delicious
Silk Coconut Milk Unsweetened
I will use coconut milk in place of all of the above from time to time, I really like how it tastes.
Silk Almond Milk Chocolate
Now here are some other great alternatives to try as well some really good brands. You can taste so many as you like and decide which ones you like best.
